Josie Blue Skyler
After a successful career as a creative director in the high end fragrance business in NYC…Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, Givenchy, Cher…I relocated to Santa Barbara to get back in touch with the natural world.
I have a real flair for creating enticing environments that appeal to many different types of people always with strict budgets in mind. My fashion background allows me to help you edit and organize your clothes and accessories.
My degrees in industrial design from ASU, floral design from Parsons in New York and certification as a Home Staging Expert come in handy
all the time. I like to take elements of nature and incorporate them into
my interiors. I love a mix of materials... wood, leather, glass, metal, fabric, texture, perhaps an object faded to a beautiful patina, fresh fruit in
your favorite bowl or fresh pillows on your sofa or bed. I think an eclectic room that complements your lifestyle and the style of your home and a natural mix brought in from your outdoor surroundings works the best to create a serene and welcoming feel for you, your friends and family to enjoy every day.
The true beauty of good design is how well it works. With a Manhattan sophistication and a California soul, I will find your home's distinction.

While studying interior design at the University
of California, Los Angeles, I began my career with
an international interior design company.
I became design director of our model home,
private residential and commercial divisions
for the next twenty-five years. Putting together
a team, I oversaw the conceptual design, project
management and installations.
I placed great importance on listening to my
client’s input, completing projects on time and
within budget. After moving to Santa Barbara,
I established a design business with a special
focus to provide artwork for private residences,
resort hotels and casinos.
